Kuwait Business Confidence Reaches a Two-Year High
Kuwait’s non-oil private sector ended 2025 on a strong note, with business confidence reaching its highest level in two years, supported by improving operating conditions according to PMI data.
The Purchasing Managers’ Index rose to 54 in December from 53.4 in November, signaling sustained improvement in business conditions for the sixteenth consecutive month since April 2025.
Companies recorded accelerated growth in output and new orders, prompting increased hiring activity.
However, the pace of recruitment was insufficient to prevent a record rise in backlogs.
Output also expanded at its fastest rate in seven months in December, reinforcing the positive outlook for business confidence.
Analysts noted that current business confidence levels are among the highest since the survey began in 2018, with optimistic expectations for the year ahead.
